Hi All

Again, I just wanted to share with everyone what I teach my team and get some feedback and find out what others are doing. If you do any of the 6 Steps, I would love to hear how you go about it and Im sure it will add value to everyone that reads this thread.

A network is built on two things; Depth and Duplication.

Depth
Depth refers to people in one under the other (downlines rather then frontlines). When a team is focused on depth, it creates spillover. Spillover creates excitement - Excitement creates activity - Activity creates momentum - momentum creates income.

Duplication
Duplication refers to people in the team that are duplicating your efforts. There are two fundamental components that must be present for you to create duplication.

1. Lead by example. People will do what you do long before they do what you say! If you want your team to recruit, then recruit. If you want your team to help new members, help new members. If you want your team to write down their dreams, write down your dreams.

2. Do what your team can do. If your team is going to do what you do, it doesn’t help doing things that only you can do. Your activities need to be duplicatable. To achieve this, I have put in place a 6 step, duplicatable approach to building a network that I teach to every person that joins my team. Repeat the steps enough and you will become wealthy. Your success depends 100% on how many times you repeat the steps.

The 6 steps are:

The Dream
The dream is the focal point of your whole business. It is the thing that keeps you motivated when things get tough. Without a reason to build a team, you will never build one. The first thing anyone in this business should do is write down their reason - the dream - and put it somewhere that you can see it.

The List
The second step is to create a prospect list with everyone you know. If you put 2 names on in and 1 says no, 50% of your prospects have said no. The bigger the list, the bigger your foundation.

Invitation
Next you invite people from your list to a meeting where you share the business with them (presentation). There are several ways you can do this. I will share some as we discuss and would like to hear how you go about this.

Presentation
Show the product and business to the people you have invited from your list. Group meetings, One on ones, Webinars and Videos are all ways to show the business.

Follow-up
If the person does not join during the presentation, remember to follow up.

When following up, aim for 1 of 3 outcomes:
1. Prospect becomes a member and takes a website.
2. Prospect becomes a member
3. Prospect gives you names for your list.

Every prospect can lead to something!

Follow Through
This step is also known as "duplicate". This is when you train and work with your new members. Help them learn the 6 steps - help them make money. You become successful if you help enough other people become successful - so this step is one of the most important.
The same wind blows on us all, the wind of opportunity and the wind of disaster. But it is not the blowing of the wind that determines your life’s future. It’s the set of your sail.

A number of people have no idea what to say to a person when they first want to mention the GNR system. What should the opening line be and how do you go from there?

Mentioning the business to a prospect for the first time is part of the Invitation. The objective, when first mentioning the business to a friend, is not to sell him on the concept. The objective is to get him to a presentation.

The biggest mistake people make when inviting prospects to a presentation is that they confuse invitation with presentation. They try to sell the idea over the phone or in a few minutes at the office. This seldom works as you can’t properly convey the concepts in this way. Sharing the concept is part of the presentation.

9 times out of 10 the prospect force you to sell by asking you questions. Like - What is this about? and  - Is this a pyramid? The more questions they ask, the more you have to explain the business and the more selling you are forced to do. It is important to expect this, and have a way around it.

This in mind, I have the following approach.

The Phone
I invite prospects over the phone as much as possible. The phone gives me a much greater level of control then I have when inviting someone in person. I start the call by telling them I’m in a bit of a hurry. This gives me a way around their attempts to make me sell. When prospects start asking questions, I simply remind them that I’m in a bit of a hurry and assure them that I will explain everything when we meet.

Dialogue:

Ryan: Hi Mark, this is Ryan, howsit going?

Mark: Hi Ryan, well thanks and you?

Ryan: I’m good thanks. Mark, I’m in a bit of a hurry so I can’t really talk now. But I have a business idea that I would like to discuss with you. Any chance we could get together sometime this week for a chat?

Mark: What is it about?

Ryan: It’s in IT - I have a product that allows companies to create really powerful websites. But like I said, I can’t really talk now. I’ll explain everything when we meet. When is good for you?

Mark: Sounds good. When is good for you?

I am able to complete most of my invitations in less than 1 minute.
The same wind blows on us all, the wind of opportunity and the wind of disaster. But it is not the blowing of the wind that determines your life’s future. It’s the set of your sail.

Hi Ryan, how do you go about following up after presentations? In addition, what would you say is the best means of attracting people to the GNR opportunity?

Hi Paul

How do you go about following up after presentations?

I find it best to follow-up in person. When you follow-up over the phone, you have little room to maneuver. The person can easily brush you off without allowing you to deal with his objections - "I’m not interested, but I cant talk right now. Cheers". Following up in person allows you to answer questions and help your prospect make the right choice.

To achieve a personal follow-up, I always give the prospect something physical at the end of a presentation. Richards book or a CD with more info both work well. This does 2 things:

1. It gives the prospect more information.
2. It gives you a reason to meet your prospect in person to follow-up and get your book/CD back.

When you meet with him/her, you can discuss the book, deal with objections and achieve one of the 3 outcomes I mentioned in the original message:

1. Prospect becomes a member and takes a website.
2. Prospect becomes a member
3. Prospect gives you names for your list.

What would you say is the best means of attracting people to the GNR opportunity?

As with everything else, the way you bring people in to the business needs to be 100% duplicatable. I believe that the best way to grow a network is through relationships. Research shows that you can reach anyone within 6 jumps! At any given moment, you are 6 recruits away from anyone in the world!

So build your prospect list with everyone you know. When one of those prospects join, help them to do the same (Duplicate). This is duplicatable and by continuing to build your team this way, you will be able to reach un unlimited number of people!

The same wind blows on us all, the wind of opportunity and the wind of disaster. But it is not the blowing of the wind that determines your life’s future. It’s the set of your sail.

I agree with what you guys are saying, I think buy joining up we should all get a CD or a DVD that we can show prospects something tangible. This whole business idea is up in the sky, no wonder people think it is a pyramid. We need to get something to touch and feel, it will open the product and opportunity up to a larger amount of people...what you think?

Hi Jason

Having something to touch and feel definitely does help with many prospects. The challenge is making those resources available internationally. In the near future, when a person joins, he will receive a downloadable starter pack consisting of Videos, MP3s, Brochures, Business cards etc. He can burn the videos and MP3s to CD/DVD and get the brochures and business cards printed as he needs them.

This approach makes it easy to expand your business around the world instantly. The second a person clicks register; he has everything he needs to grow his business.
The same wind blows on us all, the wind of opportunity and the wind of disaster. But it is not the blowing of the wind that determines your life’s future. It’s the set of your sail.

I fully understand the concept of having systems in place to work for you. I also understand that the internet is the only means to this nationally and internationally, but it is a daunting task if all the tools and materials are on the internet. If we are to recruit members and solely dependent on the internet it eliminates the novices and the computer illiterates.

The breakfast meetings at the Dros were a great opportunity to get prospects interested in GNR. I propose that for a limited period we have regular breakfast meetings.

Richard we are also keen to get the DVD to hold house meetings and use the TV. (Computer screens are just too small to hold an open meeting)

Even during the Webinar, the old and impaired sighted can’t read the words on the screen. Ja,  I know whatÂAbe said about pleasing people

All the time

I'd like to add my 2 cents here. This is a "Network Marketing Business", the biggest tool in your armour is YOU!!!

Advertising material is great to back up the principles of the business, but your ability to understand and communicate your understanding is what will get customers and business partners into this business, but it shouldn't stop there!

You need to become a leader and pass on your knowledge to those you recruit and not let them fondle for themselves.

If you need to learn things, either ask us here what you need to know or clap your sponsor around the head and get them to tell you what you need to know. Having been working with hundreds of the modules lately, this business is a monster. You wont know everything, you don't need too, the support is there. PLEASE USE IT

Watch the webinars, watch how the present but the modules and sites together, ask questions!! If you need more webinars, let us know.

DVD's are great. I have given out loads from other businesses and guess what? I never got them back. Not that they were so engrossed they wanted to keep a copy for life. Its probably on top of the DVD player under all that post that no one wants.

MLM is a marketing business and focus and emphasis on YOU! You cannot blame anyone else for what should be your own actions.

If you forget to grab your briefcase on the way to work and then turnaround and find the traffic is a nightmare, is it everyone elses fault that your now late for that meeting?

Action and Magic is about YOU!!!
